Edge Intelligence. Cloud Command.

ZAISENSE is built on a two-layer model that places intelligence where it is most effective: on-device at the source, and in the cloud where enterprise visibility and coordination matter. The result is faster, lighter, and more resilient than server-bound alternatives.

The Old Way Was Broken. We Built a Better One.

Legacy video analytics platforms stream raw footage to central servers for processing. That creates latency, privacy exposure, bandwidth costs, and a single point of failure. ZAISENSE eliminates all four problems simultaneously.

Legacy Architecture

Camera → Server → Dashboard

  • Raw footage streamed continuously to a central processing server
  • High bandwidth consumption with video-heavy network overhead
  • Insight delayed by server-side processing latency
  • Central infrastructure becomes a critical failure point
  • Raw footage storage creates major privacy and security exposure
  • IT teams inherit complex infrastructure to provision and maintain
  • Scaling requires more server capacity, more cost, and more fragility
ZAISENSE Architecture

Sensor → Edge AI → Cloud Insights

  • AI processing happens on-device with zero raw footage transmitted
  • Bandwidth stays low because only structured outputs are sent
  • Millisecond decision latency enables real-time alerts and action
  • Each device operates independently with no system-wide choke point
  • No raw footage is stored or transmitted into the cloud layer
  • PoE deployment removes the need for server infrastructure
  • Scaling means adding sensors, not rebuilding compute architecture
Layer One

The Edge Layer

The edge is where the real work happens. Every ZAISENSE sensor is a self-contained AI computer - not a passive camera feeding footage to a server somewhere else. The intelligence lives inside the device itself.

SmartCam runs dedicated neural networks for people detection, demographic classification, cross-camera re-identification, and dwell timing - all simultaneously, all in real time. Pano runs heatmap accumulation, pathmap generation, footfall counting, and zone density analysis.

The moment processing is complete, the raw frame is discarded. What remains is clean, structured, anonymised intelligence - ready to be transmitted to the cloud as a fraction of the data a video stream would require.

Layer Two

The Cloud Layer

ZAISENSE Cloud receives structured intelligence from every device across every location and transforms it into the dashboards, reports, alerts, and integrations that power enterprise decisions.

Where the edge layer is about speed and privacy, the cloud layer is about breadth and depth. Individual device data becomes multi-location intelligence. Hourly snapshots become weekly trends. A single zone's heatmap becomes a portfolio-wide layout strategy.

ZAISENSE Cloud is also the integration hub - the point where spatial intelligence connects to your POS, CRM, ERP, BMS, and BI tools via open REST API and webhooks.

Cloud Analytics Capabilities

  • Live KPI dashboards - any device, any zone
  • Multi-location performance comparison
  • Heatmap and pathmap visualization
  • Demographic trend analysis
  • Conversion rate calculation with POS
  • Automated scheduled reporting
  • Device health and connectivity monitoring
  • Historical trend analysis - unlimited range

Cloud Integration Capabilities

  • REST API with OAuth 2.0
  • Webhook alerts to any endpoint
  • POS system data merging
  • CRM demographic data export
  • ERP operational data feed
  • BMS occupancy integration
  • BI tool connectors (Power BI, Tableau)
  • CSV and JSON scheduled exports
The Connection

How Edge Talks to Cloud

Each ZAISENSE device communicates with ZAISENSE Cloud over encrypted HTTPS connections. Only processed, structured data points are transmitted - never raw video. The payload per device is a fraction of what a video stream would consume.

If connectivity is lost, the edge device continues operating normally. SmartCam buffers processed data locally. Pano stores up to 90 days of full analytics data on its 8GB internal storage. When connectivity is restored, all buffered data syncs to the cloud automatically - zero manual intervention, zero data loss.

This means a temporary internet outage at your store does not create a gap in your analytics. Your historical data remains complete and your trend analysis stays accurate.

Built for the Real World

The edge-first, cloud-unified model solves the four fundamental problems that plague every competing analytics architecture.

No Footage in the Cloud - Ever

Raw video never leaves the premises. Regulators, customers, and compliance teams can be fully reassured that ZAISENSE is surveillance-free by technical design - not just by policy. There is no configuration, no opt-in, no administrator override that would ever cause footage to be transmitted or stored in the cloud.

No Bandwidth Overhead

Transmitting structured data points uses a fraction of the bandwidth that video streaming would require. A single ZAISENSE SmartCam transmits less data per day than a single email attachment. ZAISENSE works reliably on standard retail or office internet connections with no dedicated bandwidth provisioning.

No Single Point of Failure

Each edge device operates completely independently. A cloud outage, network disruption, or individual device failure affects only that specific node - the rest of your deployment continues uninterrupted. Pano's 90-day local storage means no analytics gap even during extended connectivity loss.

No Infrastructure Burden

No on-premises servers. No GPU racks. No specialist IT staff to operate and maintain a central processing infrastructure. ZAISENSE sensors connect to standard PoE network switches and the intelligence runs entirely on-device. Scaling from 1 location to 1,000 requires no additional server investment - just additional sensors.
